Vascular Laser

Laser vein removal works by targeting veins at the surface of the skin with short pulses of laser light which causes the blood vessel walls to collapse. The laser uses a specific wavelength to target the small vessels without causing damage to the skin or surrounding tissue.

This process is called photothermolysis. The damaged vein gradually dissolves and is removed through the body’s natural immune system, leaving the skin smooth and clear.

Depending on the clients skin type and the lesion being treated, some redness and swelling maybe visible. However this will usually subside around 48 hours after treatment. Lesions may appear darker around 5-7 days after treatment which is part of the process.

Whilst undergoing the treatment, some patients may feel a mild discomfort. However the treatment is quick and effective and usually requires around 3 sessions once every 4 to 6 weeks for visible lasting results. Some clients see results after one treatment.

Vascular Laser Treatment is a permanent way to remove unwanted veins, however people with thread veins are often predisposed to the condition and may require further treatment in different areas in the future.

PROCEDURE

Immediately after treatment there may be redness and swelling with the treated area. Avoiding sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation or darker pigmentation, we advise clients to use sunscreen SPF 50 for this matter.

Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin and any areas of pigmentation as this may darken and cause damage to the skin. Also avoiding hot baths, exercise and heat treatments on the skin for the first 24 hours.
